She stews throughout the search for the escaped Li'l Sebastian, and Ron brings Andy to his senses when he has no idea why April is so frustrated. Andy replies with "Awesome Sauce," which isn't the response April is looking for. In Harvest Festival, April tells Andy that she loves him.
Eventually, April forgives Andy and kisses him. April accepts the request and lands Andy in hot water when April's sister, Natalie Ludgate, thinks that Andy is trying to abduct her. Andy is despondent and begs April to do a list of things for her if she stays. In Media Blitz, April thinks about accepting Chris Traeger's offer to work in Indianapolis. They both start a small band together, infuriating April, who finds no use to keep Eduardo around if Andy likes him. In Time Capsule, Andy and Eduardo both bond over a common hobby- Music. April, feigning sleep, listens to Andy apologize and kiss her on the forehead before leaving.
In Flu Season, Andy visits April in the hospital. Andy runs in to greet her, apologize, and ask her out, but it becomes clear that April has gone to Venezuela to find a boyfriend, Eduardo, which makes Andy jealous after April rejects him. In Go Big or Go Home, April returns to the Parks Department after being absent for three months. Andy decides to be honest and revealed what happened, which makes April seethe and walk out without so much as a word. While there, Ann kisses Andy a moment before April comes in, agreeing to go out with Andy. In Freddy Spaghetti, Andy is hospitalized after a vehicular accident. Andy feels like he has misread April's signals, causing April regret. She tries to flirt with Jean-Ralphio Saperstein to make Andy feel the same thing, but this doesn't work. In The Master Plan, Ann Perkins starts to flirt with Andy, making April envious. April tries to call someone up to flirt with her in order to make Andy jealous, but it backfires when Joe Fantringham comes and Andy is forced to kick him out of the studio. In Telethon, Andy and April help operate the telethon. April tells Andy that they can go somewhere else, but Andy seems uncomfortable about their age difference and leaves. When the bartender notices April is underage, he kicks them out. They both appear, smiling, on the cover of the Summer 2010 Catalog and go to a bar together. In Summer Catalog, Andy and April grow closer. April reveals her feelings for Andy to Leslie during the moment of vulnerability before the possum is captured. In The Possum, April and Leslie Knope both, in a moment of terror, are hiding from the presumed Fairway Frank. Soon after, Andy plays a song dedicated to April. They respond by saying that April is different after hanging out with Andy, prompting April to break up with her boyfriend. In Galentine's Day, April is ticked off with her boyfriend and his boyfriend during the Senior's dance. April's boyfriend and his boyfriend both mock Andy, which motivates April to stay away from Andy more often. April assists Andy in order to be closer to be closer to him.
In Sweetums, Andy helps Tom Haverford move out of his house. She gets hired as Ron Swanson's assistant. In The Set Up, April can't wait to leave the Parks Department after her internship, but that changes when she realizes that staying at the Parks Department is the perfect way to stay near Andy. The next time they see each other, April gives Andy a perfect Christmas Present. In Christmas Scandal, April asks Andy what she should get for her Gay Boyfriend, and is genuinely happy to be talking to Andy. Andy and April play games like Marco Polo while the rest of the crew is gone, and April hints that she likes Andy. Andy laments to April how Ann Perkins (his ex-girlfriend) and Mark Brendanawicz (Ann's boyfriend) are going on a hunting trip together. In Hunting Trip, Andy and April are left behind during the hunting trip.
